Tony Jay whose history and knowledge of music stretches back some 30+ years. Originally starting in the industry as a DJ playing all the major clubs and exclusive venues in London, West End and the Home Counties
Tony then decided to open his very own record shop, "SOUL POWER RECORDS" in London, and did exclusive stints on radio. Tony worked along side some of the biggest names in the industry, with the likes of the original house producers to come out of America and Chicago.Tony became the first DJ at the time to officially air US 12" singles in the UK within 2 hours of their delivery into the country, and based on the reputation and following that his well-loved radio shows had gained.
Tony's Radio shows gained a massive listening base for which he was grateful.Tony negotiated and set-up the record contract between Azuli Records, the Phaze One Label (sister company to Ministry Of Sound) subsequently signed to them, with a full remit to executively produce and release a number of singles, followed by an album.
